Ortak's History:
Ortak has been producing unique Scottish jewellery since 1967 when Malcolm Gray began creating Jewellery
from a small workshop in Kirkwall, the capital of Orkney.
Ortak jewellery combines unique contemporary styling
with strong ethnic influences.
Every
jewellery product from Ortak is unique, designed in Scotland and made to the highest standards using the best available materials.
Each piece in Ortak’s jewellery range is the result
of close co-operation between their jewellery designers and craftsmen, using techniques and methods handed down over decades.
Today 40 years later the business is still run by the Gray Family, Ortak has grown into an international business
but with its heart still remaining in Orkney, where every piece of Ortak Jewellery is created and made.
